Sungai Citarum adalah sungai terpanjang di Jawa Barat dengan panjang ±300 km. Hulu sungai ini berada di daerah Kabupaten Bandung dan berakhir di daerah Kabupaten Karawang. Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu menganalisis kondisi dan perkembangan status kuaIitas air serta kondisi kualitas air berdasarkan pendekatan PCWI di Sungai Citarum, khususnya di Kota Bandung dan Cimahi dengan rentang waktu 2014-2022. Titik pengambiIan sampeI diIakukan di 6 stasiun, yaitu stasiun Sukapada, Ciwastra, Teras Cikapundung, Cikapundung Asia Afrika, Pasirluyu, dan Cimahi Cihunjung. Parameter yang digunakan, yaitu suhu, kekeruhan, TDS, TSS, DHL, pH, DO, BOD, COD, nitrit, amonia, dan fecal coliform. Berdasarkan data kualitas air dari tahun 2014 – 2022 didapatkan hasil bahwa parameter kekeruhan, TSS, nitrit, amonia, DO, BOD, COD, dan total coliform melebihi ambang batas baku mutu, sedangkan suhu, TDS, DHL, dan pH masih berada dibawah baku mutu. Hasil perhitungan dan klasifikasi menggunakan metode PCWI diketahui bahwa Sungai Citarum di Kota Bandung dan Cimahi berada pada tingkat pencemaran tercemar sedang. Berdasarkan box plot dan uji tukey diketahui bahwa tingkat pencemaran yang terjadi dari tahun 2014-2022 mengalami perubahan yang signifikan, di mana tingkat pencemaran pada tahun 2022 mengalami peningkatan akibat kembali normalnya aktivitas masyarakat pasca pandemic Covid-19. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pengendalian aktivitas masyarakat di sekitar Sungai Citarum agar tingkat pencemaran sungai tidak semakin buruk
The Citarum River is the longest river in West Java with a length of ±300 km. The upstream of this river are in the Bandung Regency area and the downstream in the Karawang Regency area. The purpose of this study was to analyze the condition and development of air quality status and air quality conditions based on the PCWI approach on the Citarum River, especially in the cities of Bandung and Cimahi with a time span of 2014-2022. Sampling points were carried out at 6 stations, namely Sukapada, Ciwastra, Teras Cikapundung, Cikapundung Asia Afrika, Pasirluyu, and Cimahi Cihunjung stations. The parameters used were temperature, turbidity, TDS, TSS, DHL, pH, DO, BOD, COD, nitrite, ammonia, and fecal coliform. Based on water quality data from 2014 – 2022, the results showed that the parameters of turbidity, TSS, nitrite, ammonia, DO, BOD, COD, and total coliform exceed the quality standard limits, while temperature, TDS, DHL, and pH were still below the quality standards. The results of calculations and classification using the PCWI method show edthat the Citarum River in Bandung and Cimahi were at moderately polluted levels of pollution. Based on the box plot and tukey test, it is known that the level of pollution that occurred from 2014-2022 has experienced significant changes.
